Cambodia Kampot Peppercorn

Kampot peppercorns are premium variety renowned for its superior quality and complex flavour profile. They are known for their unique flavour profile, which includes notes of eucalyptus, jasmine, and spruce, along with a spicy warmth. Originating in the province of Kampot in Cambodia, this spice is considered to be one of the best in the world due to its unique terroir and the traditional cultivation and harvesting methods.

It has a long history, traceable back to the 13th century, but its use became widespread during the years of French rule in Indochina.

Kampot pepper is grown, produced and sold in green, white, black and red varieties, all from the same plant. The climate of Kampot Province offers perfect conditions for growing pepper and the quartz content of the soil in the foothills of the Elephant Mountains helps to give Kampot pepper its unique terroir.

Kampot pepper is a certified geographical indication (IGP) product of Cambodia since 2010 and in the European Union since 2016.

Our peppers are directly sourced from a small farm protected under the Geographical Indication of Origin [IGP] and produced under Organic regulations.
